Voor wie

AFTO is er speciaal voor bedrijven werkzaam In ferry transport van en naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Bedrijven die het belangrijk vinden om betrokken te zijn bij en feeling te hebben met deze dynamische, maar ook complexe branche. Het ferry transport is binnen de vervoerswereld een kleine specialistische tak.

Doelstelling
Doel is de branche gezamenlijk naar een hoger plan te tillen en de kwaliteit te waarborgen. Dit wordt bereikt door van elkaars kennis en expertise gebruik te maken in combinatie met externe informatie voorziening. Als vereniging worden o.a. contacten onderhouden met ferrymaatschappijen, havenbedrijven en overheden. De inzet van de AFTO op dit vlak biedt meerwaarde voor de leden. Samen staan we sterker.

Advies en informatie
De AFTO biedt een vraagbaak aan haar leden. Zij kunnen, via het secretariaat informatie c.q. adviezen krijgen of bepaalde onderwerpen ter discussie stellen. Bij voorkeur per e-mail, maar per fax of telefoon kan natuurlijk ook.

Samenwerking
De AFTO vindt het belangrijk samen te werken met andere partijen in het beroepsgoederen- vervoer. Dat geeft toegang tot kennis, mensen, middelen, en netwerken.

AFTO leden profiteren daarvan. Zo werkt de AFTO ondermeer samen met Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN), de belangenbehartiger met 6500 leden voor het
beroepsgoederenvervoer over de weg.

TLN beschikt over een eigen vertegenwoordeging in Brussel en onderhoudt intensieve contacten met bedrijfsleven, overheid, politiek en buitenlandse zusterorganisaties. Door middel van een samenwerking met Technical Road Transport Association (TRTA) blijven wij op de hoogte van technische ontwikkelingen. Ook werkt AFTO met autoriteiten op diverse vlakken samen. Als branche kunnen wij ons op een dergelijke manier ontwikkelen.

AFTO is primarily designed for companies Involved in transport operations via ferry to and from the United Kingdom. Companies who find it important to be involved in this dynamic but also complex mode of transport. It forms a small but very specialised segment within the world of transport in general.

Our aim
The aim is to improve and maintain the standard of quality within this branch together. This can be achieved by exchange of our knowledge and expertise in combination with using external sources of information. As an organisation we maintain contacts with ferry operators, terminal operators as well as governing bodies and institutions. The efforts of AFTO will offer added value to its members. Together we are stronger

Advice and information
AFTO offers a source of information to the members. They can obtain information, advice or bring points of discussion via the secretariat of the association. Preferably via email but of course enquiries via fax or phone are welcome too.

Cooperation
AFTO sees the importance to work with Other organisations within the transport Industry. It gives access to further know- how, people, modes, and networks.

AFTO members gain from this. In certain areas AFTO Works in conjunction with organisations like Transport and Logistics Nederland (TLN), Who represent the interest of 6500 member road transport companies.

TLN have their own representation in Brussels and maintain close links with business organisations, government, bodies political parties and international branche organisations. Thanks to the relationship with the Technical Road Transport Association (TRTA) members are informed about the latest technical developments.
Also by maintaining close ties with various authorities. We can develop our particular segment of the industry further.
